PORTALES — Adrienne Lawson posted a double-double with 19 kills and 11 digs Tuesday night, leading Cameron to a 25-11, 20-25, 25-18, 25-12 Lone Star Conference volleyball victory over Eastern New Mexico University at Greyhound Arena.

Kelle Carver added 13 kills for the Lady Aggies (5-3, 4-2 LSC), while Julisa Ocasio posted 24 digs.

The Zias (3-10, 1-5) got nine kills from senior outside hitter Kristen Beck and eight kills from senior middle blocker Jessica King. Junior libero Dallas Russell posted a team-high 19 digs.

ENMU led 2-1 in the first game before Cameron took control. The Zias bounced back in the second set, scoring five consecutive points for a 5-1 lead that featured two kills each by Beck and Megan Craft.

The Lady Aggies managed to pull even 10-10, but Evelyn Escobar’s kill put the Zias back in front for good.

They weren’t able to build on it, though, as Cameron got three kills from Lawson en route to a 6-0 lead in the third set. ENMU pared an 18-8 deficit to 19-16, but could get no closer.

The Zias led 3-0 early in the fourth, but Cameron went on a 13-1 run and ENMU was unable to get closer than seven points the rest of the way.
