A 37-year-old Plains, Texas, man was killed Thursday evening in a single-vehicle crash about 20 miles northeast of Elida.
Jason Thomas died at the scene around 6:30 p.m. when he was partially ejected from the semi truck he was driving, State Police Capt. Jimmy Glascock said.
Thomas was driving east on South Roosevelt Road 35, a narrow, dirt road, when his vehicle drifted north from the road, Glascock said.
Tire tracks at the scene indicated Thomas over corrected and the vehicle — a 2005 semi tanker truck carrying a load of brine water — partially overturned, he said.
