NWS releases rainfall totals

According to the National Weather Service office in Albuquerque, the Portales and Clovis area received the following rainfall from Sunday through Friday:

• 1.12 inches in Portales

• 2.74 inches 3 miles west of Portales

• 0.52 inches 10 1/2 miles west of Portales

• 0.82 inches 8 miles east of Portales

• 1.13 inches 4 miles east of Milnesand

• 1.18 inches 15 miles north of Elida

• 0.09 inches 13 miles north of Clovis

• 0.87 inches 6 1/2 miles southeast of Clovis

• 1.16 inches in Melrose

• 0.05 inches 2 1/2 miles north of Broadview

This week, the area has at least a 10 percent chance of rain today and Tuesday night through Friday, according to the weather service. Wednesday night has a 20 percent chance of rain.
