New principal at Mesa Elementary

Julie Howell has accepted the position of Principal at Mesa Elementary School.

Howell, an instructional coach at Cameo Elementary since 2008, will begin her new position July 21.

Prior to her position at Cameo, she was a teacher at Parkview and Lockwood elementary schools, and was a student teacher in 1994 at Sandia and James Bickley elementary schools.

Howell, a native of Clovis, holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Eastern New Mexico University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Wayland Baptist University’s Clovis campus.
