No injuries reported in Texico fire

A grass fire Tuesday at the old Texico Feed Lot on Highway 108 took 17 minutes to contain, according to the Clovis Police Department.

There were no injuries reported, according to Clovis PD dispatch.

The fire, which burned from 5:22 p.m. to 5:39 p.m., was contained to four acres inside the Texico Feed Lot fence, Clovis PD dispatch said. The fire burned weeds, debris and tires and did not harm any of the surrounding farmland.

Texico Fire Department and a unit from Pleasant Hill Fire Department handled the small blaze.
