Newspaper delivery delayed (Updated)

Delivery of the Clovis News Journal was delayed Thursday morning because of a loss of electrical power late Wednesday.

Crews from Xcel and Southwestern Public Service Co. worked through the night, replacing three transformers regulating power to the Freedom New Mexico press and newsrooms. Problems began about 7:30 p.m. and power was finally restored about 1 a.m., hours past our normal deadline.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these problems beyond our control. Normal delivery will resume this morning.
