Press release: Clovis YMCA opening

The new Clovis Family YMCA will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House on Friday, May 13th from 2PM – 5PM. The YMCA of Central New Mexico invites all community members to come in and tour this state-of-the-art family friendly wellness facility located at 2300 N Main Street in Clovis near the intersection of N Main Street and 21st Street, across from the Dairy Queen.

YMCA of Central New Mexico President & CEO Doug Nakashima says, “We are very excited to be back in Clovis after being away for a while. The Y is looking forward to partnering and collaborating with the City, School District, Cannon AFB, faith organizations, other non-profit organizations, and local businesses that will provide programs and services that will support the community.”

The YMCA is occupying a store front in the Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center and has turned it into a vibrant, family friendly 10,000 sq. ft. Health & Wellness facility. The new Clovis Family YMCA will provide area residents with a Wellness Center with all new state-of-the-art fitness and weight training equipment, a dance studio, a Child Watch room, men’s and Women’s locker rooms and group exercise classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Kickboxing, Cycling and more. Our Youth Programs will include Summer Day Camp, Afterschool Enrichment and much more.

The Clovis Family YMCA will be open for member use starting Saturday, April 30th. The hours will be Monday – Friday: 5:30AM – 9:30PM, Saturday: 8AM-5PM, Sunday: 1PM – 5PM.
