Recent cases in Roosevelt County Magistrate Court, according to court documents:

April 5

• Brian Raulie, born in 1989, was found guilty by a jury of a first offense of DWI and to open container. Raulie was found not guilty of racing on the highway.

Raulie was sentenced to one day in jail, 364 days of supervised probation and $327 in fines and fees.

April 12

• Frank L. Jenkins, born in 1964, pleaded guilty to a first offense of aggravated DWI, and charges of open container, not maintaining lanes and driving on a suspended or revoked license were dismissed as per a plea agreement. Jenkins was sentenced to two days in jail, 364 days of supervised probation and $541 in fines and fees.

April 20

• Abel Vargas, born in 1991, pleaded no contest to minor in possession of alcohol. The sentence was deferred for 90 days, and Vargas was sentenced to 90 days of unsupervised probation and $173 in fines and fees.
