Clovis couple claims lottery prize

A Clovis couple claimed a top prize winning lottery ticket Wednesday, netting $303,000.

Self-employed insurance adjusters Kenneth and Kenni Nutt won the prize in a Feb. 3 New Mexico Roadrunner Cash drawing Feb. 3, according to a press release from the New Mexico Lottery.

They purchased the ticket at KC Express on Seventh Street, a business they own.

The Nutts plan to pay off their home loan and give gifts to their adult children, the release said.

“I've already written checks to send in their Valentines,” Kenni Nutt said. “I would love to be there when they open their cards.”
