Base commander returning to Florida

Cannon Air Force Base’s commander is returning to Florida for his next assignment with the Air Force.

The Air Force Times reported Col. Stephen Clark, who was recently selected for promotion to brigadier general, will become director of plans, programs, requirements and assessments for Air Force Special Operations Command headquarters at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Clark, who has been at Cannon since 2009, served as operations officer and later commander of the 4th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt from 2002 to 2005.
