Special circumstance: Miss S’ daughter and grandchildren have been living with her ex-husband. When he lost his job, her daughter and grandchildren moved back in with her. Now she has extra people this Christmas living with her.

Her holiday hope: To enjoy being with her grandchildren.

Clothing needs: Shirt size 14-16 girls, pants size 12 girls and shoe size 13 youth; Pants size 7 girls and shirt size medium girls, boot size 3 youth; Boys’ pants and shirt size 24 months and shoes size 6 toddler; Girls’ size 24 months, could use a jacket, and shoe size 6 toddler.

Toys list: Games, craft kits, jewelry, books, Leap Frog accessories, toys with bright contrasting colors.

Who’s helped: Around 500 families who’ve asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.

Donations: Can be dropped off at the PNT, 101 E. 1st St., or mailed to P.O. Box 848, Portales, NM 88130. They can also be dropped off at the CNJ, 501 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, NM 88102. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Empty Stocking Fund.” Checks must be payable to “The Salvation Army.”

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., or gifts may be purchased for specific children by choosing an Angel tag off trees located at North Plains Mall and Wal-Mart in Clovis.
