Police blotter — Dec. 5

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Around 2 p.m. Nov. 25 an officer responded to an undisclosed alley for a report of a stabbing.

Officers searched and found the victim in the area of Sheldon Street and Commerce Way.

The man had what appeared to be multiple puncture wounds on his abdomen and wrist but refused to cooperate with officers or tell them what happened.

A family member took the man to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Other officers later reported they had spoken to the man’s 20-year-old son who admitted stabbing his father.

The son was arrested.

About 8 a.m. Nov. 27 an officer took a report of sexual assault.

A 15-year-old girl said about two weeks prior she went out with an 18-year-old male.

She said they were supposed to go to his friend’s house to watch something on TV but there was no one there when they arrived.

She said he started kissing her and she told him no but he forced her clothes off and had sex with her even though she told him no.

The officer told the girl a detective would be contacting her for an interview.

Around 2 p.m. Nov. 27, an officer responded to a business in the 500 block of West 21st Street for a report of a domestic violence order violation.

A woman said a man she has a domestic violence order (DVO) against had called her at work twice and asked her to let him speak to her manager so he could complain about her.

The officer spoke to the man who said he didn’t call to speak with the woman, only to make a complaint to her manager.

The officer noted there was an active DVO between the man and woman and noted intent to seek a warrant for the man’s arrest.

About 6 p.m. Nov. 27 an officer responded to a report of a burglary in the 1200 block of West 21st Street.

Dispatch told the officer a man had found a juvenile in his vehicle and when the officer arrived, he noted there was a male sitting in the driver’s seat of a truck.

The man told the officer he uses the truck to transport mail between post offices and had left it unlocked for his sister, who drives the truck on weekends.

He said his sister told him she that morning she had found truck with its window down and keys missing so he went by to check on it and found the 16-year-old sitting inside.

The youth told the officer he had taken the keys from the truck the night before and had returned to steal the truck but couldn’t find the key to start it.

The officer contacted juvenile authorities, who authorized taking the child to the juvenile detention center.
