Quilt Guild

The Llano Estacado Quilt Guilt met Nov. 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church with 22 members attending. President Amy Armenta welcomed three guests: Ann Hall of Tucumcari, June Rielly of Portales and Casey “Kay” McGee of Claude, Texas. Kay became new vice president/parliamentarian of the club. Jeanette Biddle gave the secretary’s report and Leigh Reynolds gave the treasurer’s report. Progress reports about Home Front Quilts, Hartley House charity quilts and Blue Star Banners were also given.

The guild along with Clovis Quilter’s have completed 12 quilts to go to various charities and will be distributed as soon as possible.

Items for discussion and vote were amended proposals to the by-laws.

Show and tell items were shared then a delicious potluck lunch followed.

Kerri Forrest of the Sewing Basket taught 15 participating members how to make “sweatshirt jackets.”

The Quilt Guild meets every other month on the fourth Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
