Sullinger

Dick and Mary “Liz” Sullinger will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 26, 2010, at the Master’s Centre conference room from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Dick and Mary met by chance in the spring of 1946 as he was returning from his naval service in World War II. After a long distance relationship, the couple married Nov. 26, 1950, at the United Methodist Church in Dexter, N.M.

After 25 years with Clovis Schools, Dick retired as an administrator and Mary retired as an elementary school teacher.

They continue to be active in the Retired Teachers Association and are active members of Kingswood United Methodist Church. They love to travel and visit their family in Colorado.

Their daughters are Becky (Dennis) Dougherty; Karen (Dave) Rebol; D’Lane (Brad) Joens.

They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

The event will be hosted by their children and welcomes all family and friends. No gifts, please.
