Nov. 10, 1955: The Portales Daily News: The senior class of Elida High School presented the play “Don’t Darken My Door” on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The actors included Peggy Nell Peterson, Tommy Tucker, Beth Doyal, JoBeth Taylor, Alec Stubbins, Patsy Rippee and Faye Southard.
