Tuesday marks election day

Early voting has concluded, and just one voting day remains on the 2010 midterm elections.

Polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with voter choices ranging from the governor’s mansion and House of Representatives to the Roosevelt County Commission.

Tuesday’s voters have the following options on the ballot:

• House of Representatives: District 3 is between incumbent Ben Ray Lujan, a Democrat, and Farmington business owner Tom Mullins, a Republican.

There is no open New Mexico Senate seat this election.

• Governor: Republican Susana Martinez, the district attorney in Dona Ana County, is running against Democrat Diane Denish, the current lieutenant governor. Their running mates in the lieutenant governor spot are John Sanchez and Brian Colon, respectively.

Bloomfield Republican Kenneth A. Gomez of does not have a running mate, but is running as a write-in candidate.

• Secretary of State: Democrat Mary Herrera, the incumbent, is challenged by Republican Dianna Duran.
