My turn: Licenses should go quickly

October 18, 2010

New Mexico Department of Game and Fish has 500 late-season elk hunting licenses available on Nov. 3 for sale on the department’s website at www.wildlife.state.nm.us.

Hunters who didn’t luck out for a license for the 2010-2011 season can purchase these licenses online. Hunters of all ages can get the licenses beginning 10 a.m.

Nov. 3.

Hunters need to setup a customer account or review your existing account before purchasing. Game and Fish are expecting the licenses to go quickly so you might want to get a move on. There are also 1,200 youth-only elk licenses available on the website for the 2010 season. Hunters younger than 18 who applied and were unsuccessful in the drawing should give this a try. All youths must have successfully completed an approved hunter education course before purchasing their license. Also remember I want to hear your stories weather it’s hunting, fishing, hiking or camping, I would love to hear from you.
