The Air Force is extending the public comment period on the proposal to establish a low altitude tactical navigation area for Special Operation Forces, according to a news release.
The Air Force first requested comments on the program be received by Oct. 4 and due to tremendous public response, the comment period will be extended to Nov. 15.
The Air Force is in the preliminary stages of the environmental assessment process, the release said, and is the first of several opportunities for public input on the proposal.
Comments can be mailed to: Cannon AFB Public Affairs office at 110 E Sextant Ave., Suite 1150, Cannon AFB NM 88103; or sent via e-mail to [email protected] by Nov. 15.
