Police investigate stabbings

Police are investigating a Saturday altercation in Clovis that left two men with stab wounds and a third man beaten.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday police were called to the Clovis Apartments on North Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard for a multiple stabbing report.

Police found two men with stab wounds and a third who had been beaten, according to police Capt. Patrick Whitney.

The men were transported to Plains Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries he said in a Monday e-mail.

“The motive and sequence of events for the fight and stabbing between the men are still under investigation as of today,” he said, declining further comment on the case.
