ENMU men's soccer squad moves to 2-0

Andy Wilkinson scored his first goal of the season 13 minutes into overtime, helping Eastern New Mexico University take a 2-1 win over Colorado-Colorado Springs Sunday at the ENMU pitch.

Emerson Rodrigues, who scored the first goal for the Greyhounds (2-0), found Wilkinson on a cross pass, and Wilkinson redirected the ball past Mountain Lions goalkeeper Brandon Costa.

After a scoreless first half, Rodrigues got the Greyhounds on the board with his second goal of the season, a free kick in the 53rd minute.

Tom O’Dea scored in the 82nd minute on a pass from Carlos Verdugo to force extra time. The Mountain Lions managed just four shots total on Orlando Rodriguez.

The Greyhounds will go for 3-0 Tuesday at Lubbock Christian in a 2 p.m. contest.
