Student council

Council candidates presented their speeches to the student body on Friday, with elections held immediately following. Students vying for officer positions were McKenzie Bucksath, Ashlynn Idsinga, Serina Johnson, Alex Victor, Zak Bouldin, Travis Connell, Randy Lovato and Kobi Shillings.

Election results will appear in next week’s school news.

Volleyball

Our seventh- and eighth-grade B teams will travel to play Texico 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Football

Seventh-grade football has a game today against Yucca on home field at 4 p.m.

The eighth-grade team will continue play this week on Thursday against Marshall at Yucca Jr. High in Clovis. Kickoff will be at 4:15 p.m.

Labor Day reminder

No school Monday in observation of Labor Day.
