Noise ordinance goes unenforced

I am confused and frustrated that we have an ordinance against loud music and it’s not enforced by our city police.

I have called police multiple times in the last several months about this problem in my neighborhood, and after repeated times have asked officers to start issuing citations.

The officers and their supervisor have refused to issue citations.

They have warned violators and they say they have to hear the loud music before they can issue a citation.

What good is a city ordinance if our city officers are not going to enforce it?

I can point out exactly who should be cited, but they still refuse.

It is like a slap in the face when an officer has to be called over and over again for the same exact people.

I am sick and tired of this already and will continue to fight this until someone can actually stand up and do the right thing.
