Freedom New Mexico takes 13 awards

Freedom New Mexico newspapers raked in 13 awards, including General Excellence for the Clovis News Journal at the Panhandle Press Association conference in Canadian, Texas, this past Thursday through Saturday.

The Clovis News Journal won six first-place awards, two second-place awards and two third-place awards in Division II to build enough points to earn the top award of General Excellence.

The Portales News-Tribune took second place in two categories in the same division.
