Dance band coming to Clovis

Dance to the big band sound of Swing Fever, a San Francisco-based band bringing fresh excitement to old favorites on Sunday, April 11 at 4 pm at the Clovis Civic Center as part of the Clovis Community College Cultural Arts Series. Swing Fever musicians have cut their musical chops with Jazz legends Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett.

Honored as a California Arts Council touring artist, the band spotlights the vocal stylings of Denise Perrier, one of San Francisco’s most popular performers. Called “a voice with a heart,” Denise has produced four CDs, including the Grammy-nominated, “Color Me Blue.” Featuring an authentic big band sound, Swing Fever has performed at prestigious jazz festivals throughout the country including the Monterey Jazz Festival.

With a song list that includes In the Mood, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Route 66 and coupled with a dance floor at the Clovis Civic Center, patrons can enjoy an exciting afternoon of dancing and music.

Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 for seniors, military and students. Tickets are available at the CCC Cashiers’ Windows, the CAFB ITT Office, at the door the afternoon of the show, or by calling 769.4035. Please call 769.4956 for more information.
