Weather changes sports schedule

Inclement weather has changed weekend basketball games for Portales and Clovis teams.

The Milk Cow Classic, which included the Clovis, Roswell, Moriarty and Rio Rancho girls, has been rescheduled due to school cancellation in Moriarty. Clovis will still face Rio Rancho in a 5:30 p.m. contest Friday, but will not play Saturday. Rio Rancho will face Roswell in a Saturday 5:30 p.m. game.

In Portales, the District 4-3A opener against Ruidoso has been pushed back a day due to snow. The game will be played Saturday, with junior varsity play starting at 5:30 p.m.

Eastern New Mexico University’s home doubleheader Saturday against Midwestern State is unaffected.
