Around 8 p.m. Nov. 19, an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of Walnut Street for a burglary report.

A man said he had returned home earlier in the day and found about 400 DVD movies missing and a note that told him not to bother looking for his movies. He said he recognized the note as having been written by his former girlfriend .

The officer went to the woman’s house, and she allowed him in to search for the DVDs. However, when he went into a bathroom, he noted she started acting strangely.

He asked her what was behind the closed shower curtain, and the woman peaked behind it and told him nothing. When the officer began moving toward the tub, she told him he needed to leave because she had to use the bathroom.

The officer found her actions suspicious and walked toward the tub, and the woman pushed her pants down and began to sit on the toilet. The officer told her to stand up and pull her pants up and opened the shower curtain, discovering a man with an outstanding warrant for his arrest hiding in the tub.

The man was arrested on the warrant, and the woman was arrested for interfering with a police officer.

The officer also found some of the missing movies at the woman’s house.
