Teen video contest worth $1,000

Freedom New Mexico

A teen could win $1,000 in the Curry County Wellness Council teen video contest, according to a release from the council.

The contest is part of the national Stay Teen campaign.

Videos for the contest can be made with a cell phone or home video camera to produce a 30-second public service announcement.

The videos should feature what teens do to Stay Teen such as cheerleading or playing in the band. The release said the activities in the videos are activities that teens do when they don’t have the responsibilities of raising a baby.

All videos will be shown on-line and the winner will be chosen in December. Details are available from Clovis High School teacher Kathy Valunes.

Deadline for entry is Nov. 30.
