ENMU alumni to be honored

Two Portales residents, two teachers and a state senator stand to receive awards from the Eastern New Mexico Alumni Association at the ENMU Foundation 34th Annual Breakfast during homecoming Saturday.

Sunland Inc. CEO Jimmie Shearer and late communicative disorders instructor Shirley Gail Ferguson will be given Distinguished Service Awards.

Outstanding Alumni Awards are going to Texas State University Associate Professor of Music Lynn Brinckmeyer and Children, Youth and Families Department regional manager Don Holden of Portales.

State Sen. Timothy Z. Jennings has been selected for the Honorary Lifetime Alumni Award.
