Eastern New Mexico University’s Group Ceramic Exhibit includes 30 exhibits and a chance to meet artists from across the country.

It’s Sept. 25-26 at the Runnels Gallery in the Golden Library and is open to the public.

Christopher Calderon, Runnels art gallery manager, said the ceramics show is playful in some of the designs the artists have on display.

“It was a lot effort, it took all summer long,” Calderon said. “I cheated a little bit. This exhibit is all professors from universities and it is one of the things that is mandatory for most universities ... you must show your work.”

Artists include professors from Texas Tech, New Mexico State University, New Mexico Junior College, Sul Ross State University, Midwestern State University, Angelo State University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Roswell Artist.

Calderon said many of the artists are instructors ENMU associate professor of art, Mary Finneran, knows from shows she’s attended in recent years.

The artists showing work include:

• Dustin Kaufman, New Mexico Junior College.

• Steven Hilton, Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Texas.

• Jim Bob Salazar, Sul Ross State University, Alpine Texas.
