All ends well when we trust in God

What is your faith temperature, and how is your thought life? Do you make a definitive decision to stop negative thoughts, or do you allow them to run over you?

If so, you become totally depressed and unaware of the progression of negative attacks. A perfectly good day can be ruined by the onslaught of “stinking thinking.”

The enemy of our souls causes torment by worrisome thoughts.

“How are we going to make it?”

“What if the test comes back positive?”

“Will I have the money to pay bills?”

“What if I lose my job?”

In times like these with stimulus packages, health care problems and a low economy, faith can be robbed. Some feel like they can only give up.

Not so, dear reader. Perish the thought. God is on our side, and we will win. Cling to Jesus and be positive.

Put on your boxing gloves and fight the good fight of faith!

God has put within each one of us the power to stop negative thoughts. We may be going through trying times, but real red-blooded Americans will make it because, “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4 KJV).

Regardless of current events, with God we will fight the battle and win. The way to win begins with our thought life. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he …” (Proverbs 23:7 KJV).

Let’s stop the negative thought process. Deliberately saturate your mind with Scriptures.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8, KJV).

Be stubborn in your resistance. Memorize 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (KJV)

Refuse to accept or entertain “what if” thoughts.

Count your many blessings. Be grateful for what you have and be content.

The richest person on the planet is the person who is rich in Jesus. He will never leave you nor forsake you. The only way to safety is in him.

Pray. Instead of worrying with negative thinking, stop and thank God for all the good things. Only one leper came back to thank God for his healing. (Luke 17:17) Make a genuine effort to be thankful and appreciate the many blessings God gives each day.

We live by our faith. Don’t let anything bother you but ask for God’s help. He will drive out our enemy: “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you saying, ‘Destroy him!’” (Deuteronomy 33:27 KJV)

Be optimistic. Nothing is impossible with God. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 KJV).

When things in the natural sight look the worst, God can come upon the scene and change the circumstances. Optimism promotes a cheerful outlook and looks upon difficulties as challenges … opportunities for God to show himself strong. Let us soar like the eagles and ride upon the storm, because we know God is on our side.

We are fighting the enemy in the battle of the mind. It is imperative that we guard our thoughts. We must trust in our Redeemer and fight the good fight of faith. “Trust in him at all times,” (Psalm 62:8) for it is written, “Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust…” (Psalm 40:4 NIV).

So think happy, pray and hold on to Jesus!
