Information on making half-doll tassels and sports nutrition will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and Saturday at 2 p.m.

Author, designer and teacher Helen Gibb will show how to make half-doll tassels with ribbon flowers. This technique originated in Germany at the turn of the century and is further enhanced by the choice of ribbons available today. Gibb’s business is HelenGibb.com, and she lives in Louisville, Colo.

Carol Roark, PhD, will discuss sports nutrition, including diet, supplements, hydration and overall good health for athletes and “wanna-be” athletes. Roark is an independent distributor for Interior Design Nutritionals, and is formerly from Lubbock, Texas.

Information on pears, making a no-sew pillow cover and sewing doll clothes will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.

Registered dietitian and spokeswoman for the Northwest Pear Bureau Pat Baird will talk about different varieties of pears and share ripening techniques and tips to prevent browning, as well as discussing nutrition. She lives in Greenwich, Conn.
