Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 11 p.m. an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of Gidding for a report of harassment.
A woman said her former boyfriend had been calling her repeatedly, even though she asked him to stop.
She said he had been arrested in February for stalking her and was out on bond.
While the officer was taking the report, the man called again.
The officer spoke to him on the phone and advised him to stop calling the woman and he started crying on the phone and asked if he was going to go to jail, then hung up. A few minutes later, he called again but the woman did not answer his call.
The officer noted intent to obtain a warrant for the man’s arrest.

About 10 a.m. April 14 an officer responded to a school in the 2000 block of Norris Street for a hit and run report.
An 11-year-old girl said she was walking along Chanticlear earlier when a vehicle drove by and struck her with its sideview mirror.
The girl was transported to the hospital.
Police were unable to locate the suspect’s vehicle in the area.

About 4 p.m. April 15 an officer responded to an undisclosed location for a possible child molestation.
A social worker said she had received an anonymous tip a child in the home had been sexually abused.
The officer interviewed the mother of the children and learned the woman had seen possible signs of abuse in one of her four children after she returned home from visitation at her father’s house.
The woman said the children’s father told her he believed the child’s minor aged cousins may have been responsible for the assault.
The officer told the woman to place her children in the care of her grandmother and ensure they were not sent to their father’s home until a thorough investigation could be conducted.

About 9 a.m. April 16 an officer responded to a business in the 1000 block of Main Street for a criminal damage report.
A woman said for the past few nights someone had been stealing money out of coin-operated equipment.
She said the thief was drilling through the coin dispenser and pushing it in to gain access to the change inside.
She estimated about $200 had been stolen.
