The following criminal cases were recently filed in magistrate court from April 6 through April 20:

April 6

• Michael Pharis, 32, found guilty of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs (1st); display of registration; lighted lamps required; negligent use of deadly weapon. He was given 90-days suspended sentence, one year supervised probation, ordered to attend the ASPEN program, complete DWI School, 24 hours community service, six months suspended sentence for negligent use of a deadly weapon, six months supervised probation to run concurrent with first count, and pay court cost, fines and fees.

• Ricardo Ruiz, 20, was found guilty of possession of marijuana less than an ounce. He was ordered to pay court cost, fines and fees.

• Lacey Smith, 24, was found guilty of a potentially dangerous dog. Smith was ordered to make a $100 donation to Crimestoppers.

• Anthony Nelson, 19, was found guilty of minor in possession of alcohol. He was given one-year supervised probation, ordered attend the ASPEN program, 30 hours of community service, and pay court cost, fines and fees.

• Josie Villanueva, 40, was found guilty of enforcement of attendance — compulsory school attendance.
