Brown

Bethany College has awarded Heidi Brown of Portales a President’s Scholarship and a performance award in track and field for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Brown is the daughter of Harold and Colleen Edwards. She currently attends Portales High School. At Bethany, she plans to study speech therapy.

The President’s Scholarship, a $6,000 annual grant, is awarded to students who earn a high school GPA of at least 3.0 or an ACT score of at least 21.

Performance awards are granted to students who show proficiency in a sport or fine art and contribute to campus life by participating in intercollegiate athletics, music, visual arts or theatre.
