Cannon commander leaving

The 27th Special Operations Wing will have its second commander May 27.

That’s the day Col. Tim Leahy is set to leave Cannon Air Force Base.

His replacement will be Col. Stephen Clark.

Leahy has been at Cannon since Oct. 1 2007, as the base went from Air Combat Command to Special Operations Command. Leahy was formerly the vice commander of the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Cannon Public Affairs confirmed the move, and said it will release more information later on the change of command ceremony.
