Senior Olympics opens event

This year only, New Mexico Senior Olympics is open to all state residents age 50 and up with no pre-qualifying needed.

The organization is also introducing online registration at http://www.nmseniorolympics.org. Registration deadline is May 6.

This year’s New Mexico Senior Olympics is May 27-31 at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Competitions include track, swimming, eight-ball pool and bowling.

Dorm and meal plans are available for competitors wishing to stay on campus. Major League Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Johnny Bench will speak at the banquet.
