Commissioners will meet Tuesday

Roosevelt County Commissioners meet 9 a.m. Tuesday at the county courthouse.

The agenda includes a request by Portales Mayor Orlando Ortega Jr. to locate a “Salute to the State of New Mexico” Memorial.

There is also a request by Capt. Rick Short to approve an Alcohol Literacy Challenge Grant.

Commissioners will consider a resolution authorizing a ban on burning and a professional services contract with First American Financial.

Other items on the agenda include approval of bills and payroll through March 17; a petition for a clean Roosevelt County presented by Linda Giddins; an investment presentation by Rob Burpo; and a Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation report by Randy Knudson.
