Clocks "spring" forward Sunday

It’s that time again and the clock’s ticking.

Daylight saving time is upon us — and it’s a month earlier this year than you’re probably accustomed to setting the clock forward.

The second Sunday in March — that’s this Sunday — clocks get set ahead one hour at 2 a.m. local standard time.

Daylight savings time used to be the first Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October. But Congress changed that with the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Now clocks “Spring” forward an hour in March and “Fall” back an hour the first Sunday in November.

It’s supposed to give us an hour more daylight and save energy.
