The Mrs. New Mexico Pageant, the state preliminary to Mrs. America, is seeking applicants for the title of Mrs. Portales to represent the community in the 2009 pageant, Executive State Director Sheree Channel said.
Once selected, the winner will advance on to compete in the Mrs. New Mexico Pageant set for June 20 in Albuquerque.
Applicants must be 18 years old, married, U.S. citizens and New Mexico residents. No performing talent is required.
The new Mrs. New Mexico wins a prize package valued at more than $8,000 and an all-expense paid trip to the nationally televised Mrs. America Pageant.
