Annual MLK march mixing it up

The Martin Luther King Jr., Day Commemorative March is a 20-year tradition in Portales but this year it will be different.

Oscar Robinson, a member of the Cultural Affairs Committee says, this year’s march will be staged in reverse because the Portales High School Choir is participating in a program in Albuquerque.

“The committee members felt that the tradition of the march should continue on,” Robinson said. “We always had marches here in commemoration of Martin Luther King’s holiday.
