About 7 p.m. Dec. 26 officers responded to the area of State Road 467 and Brady Avenue to locate suspects in a drive-by shooting.

A 911 caller said the occupants of another vehicle had been following them and started shooting at them.

An officer located the described suspect vehicle on a nearby road and began pursuing it, noting the suspect was accelerating and the officer was also accelerating “as fast (his) unit would go”.

The officer caught up with the suspects, who pulled over when they became blocked by traffic in the 2200 block of South Prince Street.

Though told to stay in the car, the officer noted the four occupants of the vehicle got out and assumed “the prone position” at the side of the road.

Officers located a pellet rifle, CO2 cartridges a pellet rifle and BBs in the vehicle. Other officers found two pellet pistols along the path the vehicle had traveled.

The four males, two 19-year-olds, a 23-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested for aggravated assault, criminal damage over $1,000, tampering with evidence and the adults with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
