National show to feature fugitive

Local fugitive Noe Torres will be featured Saturday on the Fox television show America’s Most Wanted.

Show Producer Jenna Naranjo said the segment will focus the 29-year-old homicide suspect and his attempts to negotiate a surrender.

It will be the second time an AMW segment has featured Torres and the fourth episode this year to cover Clovis fugitives.

In October, Torres contacted Naranjo and told her he wanted to surrender to AMW but was turned down. Authorities said he agreed to surrender to law enforcement but wasn’t heard from again.

Torres has been on the run for more than three years after being indicted for first-degree murder in the 2005 shooting death of 10-year-old Carlos Perez.

Over the past three years, Torres has been sighted in Eastern New Mexico, West Texas and Mexico.

Noe Torres is described as 5 feet 4 inches and weighs 150 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and has a large eagle tattooed on his chest that nearly spans from shoulder to shoulder.

Torres is considered to be armed and dangerous. All callers will remain confidential and Curry County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.
