Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around 3 p.m. Nov. 18 an officer responded to a school in the 1900 block of Thornton Street for a report of threats.
A woman said she was at the school to pick up her son and was waiting in a line of traffic.
The woman said an adult male in another vehicle motioned for her to move and when she indicated to him she couldn’t, she said he got out of his vehicle and began banging on her vehicle, demanding she get out.
She said traffic began to move and she was able to leave.
The officer found the man’s address through vehicle records and went to his residence.
He told the same story of events but said he never hit the woman’s vehicle and that she cursed at him first.

About 8 p.m. Nov. 20 an officer responded to the 1000 block of Oakhurst to assist probation officers with a home visit.
Officers searched the 51-year-old woman’s room and found a white “crumbly” substance in her jewelry box, which tested positive for cocaine.
The woman was arrested for possession of cocaine.

Around 3 p.m. Nov. 20 an officer responded to the area of Debra and Beta streets for a subject wanted on a warrant.
The officer observed the man get into a vehicle with a female. He lost sight of the vehicle around Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The officer located the female getting gas and a clerk said someone had just gone through the back door of the store.
Residents in a nearby neighborhood said they saw a man enter a home in the 200 block of Aspen Street.
The woman who lived in the home said she did not know the man who ran in her home and hid.
The suspect was taken into custody.

About 7 p.m. Nov. 20 an officer responded to a business in the 3000 block of Prince Street for a dispute.
A woman said she was talking with a man she had invited to the restaurant. They had a disagreement and he threw his beer in her lap.
The man said the woman followed him to his hotel and told him to have relations with her or she was going to accuse him of assault. He said he told her no and shut the door.
The officer told the man to check with municipal court to see if any further action would be taken in the case.
