Eastern New Mexico State Fair winners

FFA students who placed in Roswell last week at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair:

Parent-teacher conferences Tuesday

Principal David Bass and the Dora School faculty would like encourage all parents to attend our first Parent/Teacher Conference Day. School will not be in session Tuesday in order for parents to come visit with teachers on student progress. Teachers of elementary students are scheduling appointments with parents for time slots between noon and 7 p.m. Parents may visit their student’s high school teachers on a walk-in basis during this time frame. Report cards for the first nine-week grading period and assessment test results will be available.

Sports

Thursday — Dora volleyball at Fort Sumner, 4:30 p.m. (JH, JV, V)

Saturday — Dora football teams play Gateway Christian at Portales Junior High; JH game 2 p.m. Varsity game 4 p.m.

Sophomore testing

All 10th graders will be taking the PSAT test at 10 a.m. Wednesday. This Preliminary SAT test helps students prepare for the kinds of questions and the exact directions seen on the SAT. The test will measure reading, math and writing skills.
