Woman robbed at gunpoint Monday

A woman was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Clovis convenience store Monday afternoon, according to Clovis police.

According to a CPD press release:

• The victim was sitting in a vehicle parked in front of Allsup’s at Grand and Prince streets around 3:30 p.m. when a man pointed a pistol at her through her window.

• The man grabbed her purse and ran east. The victim’s male companion gave chase. He lost sight of him near a house in the 500 block of North Lea Street.

• Police searched the area for a couple of hours but were unable to find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark jeans or pants and was clean shaven.
