‘Really?’ is only thing left to say

Sometimes news pleases me, sometimes it makes me yell at the TV. Other times, I’ve just got to say ... Really?

• Take the new Chevy Volt, or more specifically, its so-called fans.

Slated for a 2010 release, the Volt runs for 40 miles on a single charge, but runs up to 300 miles when a separate internal engine recharges. Chevy said the Volt would cost 2 cents a mile to drive on electricity, one-sixth the cost of an efficient gasoline vehicle (I’m assuming 30 miles per gallon, at $3.60 a gallon).
