Local gas prices call for inquest

We need a state official to look into gas prices in Clovis.

I was in Lubbock on Aug. 25 and bought gas for $3.43 a gallon. I came back to Clovis and it was still $3.79. Why?

Clovis people are being gouged by a very few who control the entire city and we shouldn’t pay while they hold the price where they can make excessive profits.

I agree with D.D. Hatcher’s letter (“Clovis fuel prices highest,” Sunday CNJ): “We need to do something about this.”

People of Clovis need to write state lawmakers and the attorney general. This subject and situation in Clovis is not new to them.
