Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 9 a.m. June 25 an officer responded to a business in the 2000 block of Main Street for an embezzlement report.

A manager said it had discovered an employee responsible for making daily bank deposits had taken more than $6,000.

The woman said the employee admitted taking the money.

The officer collected the information and noted intent to forward the case to a detective.

Around 6:30 p.m. June 25 an officer responded to the area of Seventh and Axtell for a domestic dispute.

As the officer approached he saw a male cursing at and holding a female against a vehicle by pressing his forearm to her throat.

The officer handcuffed the 16-year-old male, who said the woman was trying to take his son.

The 19-year-old said she and her child’s father argued because he said she didn’t have dinner ready on time.

When she tried to leave, he grabbed the child from her and began throwing her around. She said she was able to get out of the home with her son but the suspect began choking her.

The suspect was taken to the juvenile detention center.

Around 7 p.m. an officer was called to the 700 block of 19th Street for a battery report.

A woman told the officer her brother had head-butted her.

She said her brother became angry with her and his girlfriend and threw a toy truck at her, then ran up behind her and head-butted her in the back of the head.

The officer observed a large swollen area on the back of her head and noted intent to seek an arrest warrant.

Around 8 p.m. June 26 an officer responded to the 2000 block of 14th for a criminal damage report.

A man said he saw a vehicle drive by his vehicle and a male juvenile threw a rock at it, damaging the rear bumper and tail light.

The damage was estimated around $300.
