Police seize active meth lab

New Mexico State Police arrested four Clovis residents Friday in connection with an active methamphetamine lab, according to officials.

Anna Goodwin, 35, Wilbur Stejskal, 33, and James Metzger, 36, were arrested as they were “cooking” the drug, according to state police public information officer Andy Tingwall.

Charges include trafficking, manufacturing and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Police do not believe the fourth suspect, Matthew Myers, 21, was involved in manufacturing the drug. He was charged with probation violation, Tingwall said.

Metzger, Goodwin and Stejskal are being held at the Curry County Adult Detention Center, jail officials said.

State police narcotics officers executed a search warrant at 1718 Fairway Terrace around 11:15 p.m. Friday night, according to court records.

Tingwall said the suspects were under surveillance for a while.
