ENMU receives gift from Texas Tech
Eastern New Mexico University received a piece of equipment from Texas Tech University called a single crystal X-ray diffractometer that allows the faculty and students at the school to determine the structure of molecules, according to a press release.
The department of chemistry and biochemistry at Texas Tech decommissioned the 10-year-old piece of equipment and gifted it to ENMU’s chemistry department, the release said.
The piece of equipment would have cost ENMU about $400,000, the release said.
